Features and Uses of  P20 Mould Steel

Supplied pre-hardened to approximately 30 HRc P20 is capable of being readily machined and give a good polished finish. One of the benefits of being supplied pre-hardened is this the risk of distortion or cracking during heat treatment is eliminated. It is readily carburised or nitrided to develop a high surface hardness whilst retaining a tough core.

P20 is suited for the production of zinc die casting dies and plastic moulds as well as die holders, backers, bolsters etc.
